Performance Art Piece

This was a very difficult piece for me to explain and do but it had to be done. Growing up there where a lot of things kept secretive  from me. Finding out that I have other siblings and that I'm the child of Crack addict was very unbearable to shallow. Growing up and learning to let things go and realizing what day it age my biological mother was going through in order for me to develop into a adult I have to learn to let things go. So the project was based off What would you do if it was the end of the world. My project was to forgive my Carol Thomas.

Rare 70's Electronical Music -Hunger Games

So the Movie Hunger Games is out now and it was a huge hit even before the movie came out the book was a major success. I haven't had time to go see it yet but of course the soundtrack it going to be a big deal for multi-mill dollar movie. So the sound 'Sediment' from the soundtrack is causing alot of buzz for Electronic music lovers because the composer ( Laurie Spiegel) used an old almost extinct method to create the sound. The track was composed in 1972, and she used an analog synthesizer and old-school tape machines.

Flash Mob

So since i'm  a huge MJ fan all of mines are on him :)

Sheryl Oring

So in class we discussed Sheryl Oring, the artist who dresses up as a 50's secretary and does 'I wish to say letters' to the president for everyday people and she delivers them to the president.  This gives every day people to really express how they feel to the president about issues that are happening in their lives of themselves and other around them.  Doing just for the little people who feel like they don't have a say.

Joseph Beuys

Joseph Beuys was born in 1921. Growing up he was interested in natural sciences and art. He was involved in the war and was wounded. In his later life He became apart of FLUXUS. He created performance objects, installations, sculptures and drawings that was very challenge the normal intellect. So hearing about his project "I like America and America Likes Me " was very interesting to hear that he locked himself into a room with a  wild coyote for 8 hours over 3 day.  Watching a video of the performance the coyote looked like a playful dog was expecting a vicious beast. Never the less you would never catch me in a room with one.
